Imagine

Progress follows the path of enlightenment.

Progress is not a linear thing. There could’ve been an infinite amount of ways to travel, communicate through long distance, cook food, entertain, conserve food, heal people, and every other social and scientific advancement. The way it has been done is just based on, and limited by, the imagination of people that came before us. Just because cities are usually built a certain way, academics are taught a certain way, food is served in a certain order, doesn’t mean that there aren’t different, and often times better ways of doing said things.

The scientific method backs this thinking. The first step is to make a hypothesis, which is pretty much to imagine something that could be supported by scientific facts. This supports the argument that we haven’t achieved more just because we haven’t imagined enough, imagined better, imagined bigger.

Imagine away, or else we’ll get stuck. (Although what’s really wrong with that?)
